Can I upgrade or customise Dido for my needs?
Yes, Dido consists of a number of optional modules and also allows you to extend the system by adding your own.
How does Dido support work?
Because Dido is royalty free, we only charge you for what you need. Support is charged at $100 per hour.
When was Dido released?
The first release of Dido Trade Mark Manager took place in 2003 and there has been more than 25 version updates over the last 5 years.
Do I have to pay for new versions of Dido?
Since we do not work on a royalty system, we have to charge for new Dido versions. However, you are not forced to upgrade and your software will not stop working if you don't. Furthermore, we only charge you the difference between the new versions and what you have already paid for. If a new version contains features you don't need, it makes sense not paying for it, doesn't it?
What will happen to my data if my server crashes?
We know how important your data is. Dido has its own exceptional backup system. The Dido backup system can send out email to designated people, informing them about the status of their backups. If anything goes wrong with a backup you will know before it is too late. In fact, we receive emails from some of our clients and inform them if their server has malfunctioned.
Can I use Dido to manage trade marks in my country?
Dido is fairly generic in its operation and has been designed to handle trade mark records of all countries. Dido even supports sounds as trade marks.
Our IT guys cannot install Dido, can you do it?
Yes, with years of experience in server and desktop computing, there is no installation that is too complex for us.
You are not in my country, how would you install Dido?
Charging a traveling fee, we can come to you, or install Dido remotely over the internet. With the advances in technology, it is not rocket science.
I don't want my client's data on the internet, it sounds dangerous.
The Dido system secures content by means of usernames and passwords. A client will have to log in to see his trade mark portfolio and cannot see the portfolios of other clients. If you are still worried about this feature, you can disable it.
I really want all this, but I don't think our IT infrastracture is up to the challenge.
We can host your trade marks for you on our server and we will send you a backup of your database too.
What if I want to move to a different system or extract my data from Dido?
We do not encode your data in formats that are unreadable. You'll be able to share your data with other systems or extract it if you want to. We'll even assist you. It is your data after all, not ours.
